Frozen rain barrel

I have two rain barrels.  During the recent cold weather the one on the south side of the house remained unfrozen, but the one on the north side became frozen and top-heavy.  I found it toppled over with a massive block of ice inside.  It's been warm for several days now and it still has not melted!
